This page explains how to stop data collection and request deletion of the data that Habit, a service of StartHabit (“StartHabit,” “we,” “us”), holds about you. It is also our designated Data Deletion Instructions page for the Meta and Google platforms.
For the full picture of what we collect, how long we keep it, and your rights, see our Privacy Policy.
Disconnecting stops Habit from collecting any new data from that source. You can disconnect at any time:
Disconnecting or revoking access does not by itself delete data we have already stored. To remove stored data, make a deletion request (below) or close your account.
Email privacy@starthabit.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request” and tell us what you want deleted (for example: a specific connected account’s data, particular conversations or knowledge bases, or your entire account).
To close your account and delete the associated Customer Data, email privacy@starthabit.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request”. We will confirm and process the deletion on the timelines above. Closing your account removes your account data, persona definitions, conversations and messages, knowledge bases and uploaded files, stored integration credentials, and derived data such as search embeddings, subject to backup rotation and any legal retention obligations.
A completed deletion request removes, from active production systems and per the retention timelines above:
For users who connected a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ads account: we delete the Meta Platform Data we hold for you when you disconnect Meta or when we receive a verifiable deletion request, per the timelines above. We do not sell Meta data, do not transfer it to ad networks or data brokers, and do not use it to profile individuals. See Privacy Policy §10.
For users who connected Google services (Google Ads, Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Slides, or Meet): you can revoke our access at myaccount.google.com/permissions or by disconnecting in Habit, and you can request deletion of your Google user data by emailing privacy@starthabit.com. Our use of Google user data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. See Privacy Policy §11.
